With 30 years collective experience, we've worked on a few projects. Last millenium, we got excited about projects featuring cutting-edge navigation techniques and audio page narration. That's old hat these days, but we're still doing exciting things!

Screenshot of PRO-TAX Employee Website PRO-TAX
PRO-TAX came to us as a successful regional tax preparation firm looking to maximize productivity by moving many of their operational procedures online. What began as a simple corporate intranet has grown into a robust and extensive employee website with over 375 tools in systems ranging from time card tracking and employee management, to third-party integration with vendors such as UPS, USPS, PayPal, and Google Maps.

"PRO-TAX outsources a number of projects, and uses a range of vendors in it’s multi-office regional tax preparation business. Riovia Communications Group outshines them all. I can’t recommend their services more highly. I would identify several attributes of their performance that are truly exceptional: the overall quality of their work; their attention to detail; and their ability to suggest changes in the development process that create additional functionality. This last point makes Riovia an exceptional value. They commonly take one of our ideas and recommend new features that substantially improve the concept. The bottom-line for PRO-TAX is that Riovia has helped our company generate significant new profits through the implementation of technology. If you have a project, I can’t suggest a better partner than Riovia Communications Group." – Blair Whitworth, President, PRO-TAX

Our work with MARS HILL AUDIO, a cultural audio production company, began as simple site maintenance but grew to include the creation of a custom shopping cart system, a content management system to publish information about their products and resources, and most recently an online MP3 library from which listeners can purchase and download products.

The Harriman Cup, an annual polo match celebrating the life of diplomat and statesman Averell Harriman, came to us with a need to simply keep their site updated. In the process, we identified and implemented a number of changes to further enhance the website's content and usability.

"If you need a website created or overhauled, there’s no better company to do it than Riovia. Not only do they know how to produce a very clean and professional website, they also come up with smart solutions to problems with design, navigation, and customer usage and engagement. The success of our big fundraising event was due in large part to having a well-designed website by Riovia."– Matt Paco, Event Coordinator, The Harriman Cup

Media Studies Contacts Database
The Media Studies department at the University of Virginia had formerly been tracking addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses for alumni and contacts in an Excel spreadsheet, but was finding it to be difficult and time-consuming to use, especially when multiple people needed to work with the information from different places. We created an online database that allowed administrators to update contacts' information, as well as provide access to the contacts themselves, thereby greatly diminishing administrative overhead.

"Working with Riovia Communications Group on our alumni and internship website was a pleasure. Not being versed in web-speak we weren't very articulate with our needs, but Riovia asked all the right questions and developed a product that met our needs and they anticipated needs that we didn't know we'd have. It was easy to communicate with them and they were available any time we had questions about our project. So many websites have ratings for their vendors and products these days and if I were to give Riovia a rating for professionalism, value, quality, and ease of communication it would be five out of five stars." – Judy McPeak, Administrator, Media Studies Department, University of Virginia

Freespace Networks
A Wireless Internet Service Provider, Freespace Networks needed a website that provided information about their services, allowed customers to setup and maintain their accounts, and process payments online. Throughout the multi-phase project, we made sure that the site would be easy to understand and easy to use, while still providing robust functionality.
